Surrey Renovation – Copper

This customer in Surrey made his purchase of 115mm half round gutters with 80mm round downpipes in Copper on the website without any assistance. But when we saw the size of the order we gave him a call anyway – just to make sure he had found everthing he needed. The rafter brackets ordered were replaced with fasica brackets but otherwise he was most satisfied with the experience.

“I must say I was quite nervous spending close to 4K on a product sight unseen, but this is clearly a very high-quality product and can’t wait until it’s installed… The components are solid and beautifully manufactured. Top notch. I have also been impressed by the follow up calls… It’s been a pleasure dealing with your company.
Thank you,

Copper is often overlooked or not even considered for rainwater systems in the UK. This is, in part, due to its fairly low use in the UK in the past. Copper has been much more widely used in other countries and has a proven track record of longevity – almost the most durable of all materials – even exposed to harsh marine environments, or to run off from wood shingles, copper performs incredibly well. Copper is not only durable but also offers a stunning aesthetic choice which just cannot be matched by other materials.
Consumers looking at the long-term impact on the environment recogniseit makes sense to put up something that won’t need replacing for 50+ years.

The customer in this case knew what he needed and went ahead and placed the order online without asking for help but if you want it you can access the experience and knowledge of the friendly sales team at Infinity Galvanised Steel by geting in touch by phone on 0800 644 44 28 or email .

We can help make things easier with take-offs from architects drawings and same day quotes.

Hotel/Apartments refurb – Galvanised steel

Permission was granted in 2013 to begin the work on regenerating this former hotel, damaged by a fire in 2008 and 2015, but work only got under way in the past year.
Sustainable Britain Ltd and Architects Ascent turned the site into this stunning apartment block of 20 one and two-bedroom flats with sun terraces/full or Juliet balconies or with their own courtyard if they were ground floor apartments.
Rainwater draining off the roof through outlets in the facade spills into the hoppers and down the downpipes. The hoppers give extra capacity for times of higher rainfall. The Galvanised Steel will dull over time as the outer layer oxidizes creating an tough exterior surface protecting the integrity of the metal.

“This (refurb) was a mammoth task – it was a very run down building when we started which has made the transformation all the better!”

Henry of Sustainable Britain Ltd told us.

Petersfield – Grey White

This considerable and characterful extension to the rear of a lovely detached Grade II cottage was enhanced by the choice of the Grey White Galvanised Steel rainwater system to match the window frames and fascia of extension.
Located in a picturesque setting on the edge of a village, the brick store outbuildings of the cottage, reputedly a former tanner’s house, had been transformed with glass, wood panelling, skylights and solar panels into a modern,
bright and light, eco friendly family home.
The home owner called to place the order for Galvanised Steel rainwater system parts in Grey White as the contractor had specified.
Rainclear were able to delivery the next day as they hold huge stocks of the Galvanised Steel in 6 popular shades including Galv, Black, Anthracite Grey, Dusty Grey, Sepia Brown and the Grey white chosen to match the window frames and fascia of the refurbished and extended outbuildings.
Galvanised Steel Fascia and Soffit are also available for next day delivery in 3 sizes and in Anthracite Grey, Dusty Grey and Grey White.
The Galvanised Steel Roofline systems from Rainclear offer a stylish and low maintenance choice as they do not require repainting and will not crack or fade. An annual clear-out and clean is recommended but this can be achieved these days without the need to climb a ladder.
